Michael Berry Obituary

Michael F. Berry, 69, of Elkhart, passed away Friday March 20, 2020 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. He was born Aug, 19, 1950 in Elkhart to Clarence "Jack" and Eleanor Berry. Michael married Lois Berry, she preceded him in death.

Michael was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He started his career with Conrail railroad and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad as an engineer. Michael enjoyed life from going to Williamsport Pennsylvania to take classes to become a Little League Umpire, to Astronomy, and he was a true history buff, and loved music and concerts from the Moody Blues to Pink Floyd, just to name a few.

Michael is survived by his children; Bryan (Renee) Berry of Elkhart and Angela (Braxton) Clarke of Harrisburg, North Carolina his grandchildren; Ashlyn, Jack, Benjamin and Hayden, his sisters; Barbara (Marvin) Kreider, Jackie (Donald) Boyer both of Arizona and Diane Ewald of Texas.

In keeping with Michael’s wishes, a memorial service will be held at a later date in Arizona near his family. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home is assisting the Berry family. Online condolences may be made to the Berry family on the funeral home website.
