Michael Richard Conrad

Michael Richard Conrad, age 69, of Elkhart passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital. Mike was born on November 28, 1951 in Elkhart to Richard Nolan and Maxine Conrad. He married Janice Clewell on May 5, 1973 at Elkhart 1st Church of God.

Mike graduated from Concord High School class of 1970. He retired from Gaska Tape in 2017 after 23 years of service. He formerly worshiped at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Elkhart. He enjoyed flying airplanes, especially his Piper Cherokee. Mike loved spending time with his family and friends.

Mike is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janice and their children, James M. Conrad of Elkhart, Renee (Eric) Yoder of Goshen and Cheryl Conrad of Apex, North Carolina; grandchildren, Natalie and Case Yoder and his sister, Patricia (Tom) Hartzler of the Villages, Florida.

Friends may visit from 4-8 pm on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 Funeral services will be at 1pm on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Pleasant View Church, 58529 CR 23, Goshen, IN 46528 with visitation one hour before services. Interment will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart. Memorial donations may be made to Church Community Services, 907 Oakland Ave., Elkhart, IN 46516 or www.communityservices.org.
