Obituary

Nancy K. (Stoner) Aydelotte, age 84 of Elkhart, Indiana passed to her rest peacefully at Golden Living Center where she had resided since February 2020. Nancy was born on March 20, 1937 to Clifford E. and Lucille (Dunn) Stoner. Nancy was a life-long Elkhart resident and attended Elkhart schools.

Nancy married Donald H. Aydelotte on March 9, 1968, in Elkhart, Indiana. For 36 years they lived their dream life of Florida winters, traveling the US, supporting grandchildren in school and athletics, and often hosting family and friends for holidays and special events until Don's passing in 2004.

Nancy is survived by two daughters both of Elkhart, Julie (Michael) Caffrey; and Robin Coulahan; son, Kurt (Cindy) Hunt; of Indianapolis; brother, Steve Stoner (Jenny Kelly); of Elkhart. Grandchildren; Damion Caffrey, Adrienne Thomas, of Elkhart; Colin Caffrey; of Indianapolis; Brandon Murnane; of Colorado; Christy (Chad) Hagedorn; of Washington DC; Allison (Ovid) Rijfkogel; Kelly Hunt and Kimberly Hunt all of California; Great-grandchildren; E-4 Specialist Max Caffrey, of Kansas, Lydia Caffrey, of Florida; Connor Thomas, Carter Thomas, Katie Ramirez Campbell; all of Elkhart and Alicia Ramirez Campbell; of Muncie; Cade Hagedorn, of Washington DC; and Marlowe Rijfkogel; of California.

Beginning early In the 70's, the mobile home industry flourished in the Michiana community, Nancy's position was secretary/treasurer for Mann Industries and the Weidner brothers. As a woman, in an industry famous for polyester trousers, Qiana nylon shirts, white shoes and white belts, Nancy achieved respect, success and opportunity when women were still missing in leadership roles.

As a cat fancier her entire life, Nancy bred Persian cats for many years, and owned her own cattery, Purjonpaws. She enjoyed cat shows, the people she would meet, and became long-time friends with those that became owners of her beautiful kittens.

Nancy will be welcomed into heaven by her parents, beloved husband, Don, loving son, Craig Campbell, precious granddaughter, Celia Ramirez Campbell and all who have left this earth and loved her.   On, March 16, 2021, her loving companion of 16 years, Wayne White of Macomb, Illinois was welcomed into heaven.
