Paul L. Wagner

Paul L. Wagner, age 86, of Elkhart passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at his home. Paul was born to Orville Francis and Effie E. Hickman on November 4, 1935 in Elkhart. He married the love of his life Sally L. Luke on April 14, 1956 at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Elkhart.

Paul was a dedicated employed, he worked for Conn-Selmer for over 47 years, where he was a union representative and union vice-president.  Paul enjoyed bowling, playing soft ball in his youth. He was always up for a good card game of euchre with his family or his co-workers. He enjoyed camping, especially in his motor coach with his wife Sally by his side. But most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Paul is survived by wife of 66 years, Sally; their children Patti Lynn (Phil) Linn of Elkhart, Sandy J. (Bruce) Poarch of Elkhart and Jim (Sherry) Wagner of Iowa; grandchildren Jeremy, Kristy, Rachel, Ryan, Cassie, Michael, TJ, Kendra, Chad and Tiffany and his great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his children Gayle A. Wagner and Kenneth D. Wagner and his siblings Edna Lawson, Betty Lou Stander, Ruby Wagner and Arthur Wagner.

Visitation will be from 10am-12pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be held at 12 pm.Chaplain Neil Amstutz from Goshen Health Care & Hospice will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
