Pauline Swinehart

 Pauline Swinehart, formally of Elkhart passed away Tuesday, September 28 2021 at Bell Tower Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She had been in failing health for the past month.  

Pauline was born July 11, 1926 to Herbert and Miriam Roose of Wakarusa Indiana.  She graduated from Wakarusa High School in 1944.  She moved to Elkhart of that year and initially worked for Miles Laboratory (Bayer) during the war.  Shortly thereafter, Pauline started to work at City News and Bookstore where she met her to-be husband, Frank.   They married in 1947 and continued to work together at City News until they both retired in 1975. 

She is preceded in death by Frank who died in 1976; her second husband Lynn Swinehart who died in 1999 and her son, Walter Forman who died in April of this year.  She is survived by her son, George Forman (Ann) of Granger, Indiana; daughter, Dr. Betty Forman (Lawrence Goffney) of Alexandria, Virginia; granddaughters Barbara Ruess (Matt) of Crown Point, Indiana; Diane Fenner (Joel) of Sellersburg, Indiana; Dr. Franci Forman (Shawn Pukahi) of Beaverton, Oregon and Kelli Anne Forman of Seattle, Washington and a grandson, Alexander Forman (Beth) of Zionsville, Indiana.  She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

All services for Pauline will be private. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Frank at Rice Cemetery mausoleum.
