Penny A. (Shaw) Pigors

Penny A. Pigors, 74 of Middlebury, IN passed away on Tuesday January 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. Penny was born on October 7, 1949 in Elkhart, IN to Eugene and Dorothy (Hayes) Shaw. She married Anthony Pigors on August 21, 1971 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Elkhart, IN.

Penny graduated from Elkhart High School, class of 1967. She worked as a glassware technician for the South Bend Medical Foundation at Elkhart General Hospital. She loved spending time with her friends, family and her dogs.

Penny is survived by her husband of over 52 years, Tony Pigors; their children Justin (Wendy) Pigors of Noblesville, IN and Rebekah C. Pigors of Elkhart, IN; her grandsons Ian and Vincent; and her sisters Melinda “Mindy” Shaw of Elkhart, IN and Sally (Charles) Krumwiede of Elkhart, IN., and sister-in-law Virginia Shaw of Elkhart, IN.  Penny was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Dorothy Shaw and her brother Gene Shaw.

Penny will be laid to rest at a later date at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart, IN. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting Penny’s family.
