Richard DeBow Eldridge

Richard DeBow Eldridge, 88 of Goshen, IN passed away on Sunday January 28, 2024 at Elkhart General Hospital. Dick was born on September27, 1935 in Elkhart to Paul and Margaret (McMillan) Eldridge. He married Sharon R. Kurtz on April 3, 1955.

Dick graduated from Concord High School, class of 1953 He was a brick mason before going to work for Trade Names in1972, which later became LaSalle Bristol. He retired in 1999 as a sales representative. He and his wife Sharon are members of Grace Lutheran Church. Dick loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all.

Dick is survived by his wife of over 68 years, Sharon Eldridge; their sons Brett (Cristy) Eldridge of Elkhart, IN and Bradd (Diane) Eldridge of Antioch, IL; daughter-in-law Kathy  Eldridge of Indianapolis, IN. grandchildren Elyse (Josh) Best of South Bend, IN , Mason Eldridge of Indianapolis, IN., Holyn (Nate) Stonebreaker of Franklin, IN.,  Kelsie (Eric) Childers of Converse, IN , Koby Eldridge of Goshen, IN., Denae Eldridge of Chicago, IL , Reece (fiancé  Elizabeth ) Eldridge of Madison, WI and Gavin Eldridge Des Moines, IA; and two great-grandchildren  Dick is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Margaret Eldridge, son Brian Eldridge and brothers Rev. Robert Eldridge and James (Carlie) Eldridge.

Visitation will be from 10am-1pm on Saturday February 3, 2024 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where a memorial service will be at 1pm. Dick will be laid to rest at Chapel of Hope Mausoleum at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart, IN. Memorial donations in memory of Dick may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 851, Elkhart, IN 46515.
