Roger Hensley Obituary

Roger Thurman Hensley, age 81 of Elkhart passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Woodlawn Manor Nursing Home. Roger was born on November 28, 1939 to Thurman and Magdalene Hensley.

Roger honorably serviced his country in the United States Army. He was a diesel mechanic for over 47 years. He enjoyed playing poker, Texas holdem and collecting coins.

Roger is survived by his children, William (Jessica) Baumann of Elkhart, Indiana, Lorelei Hendix of Texas, Michael Hensley of Georgia and Danielle (Rex) Bloodworth of Atlanta, Texas, several grandchildren. His brother, Tom (Carolee) Hensley of Benica, California.

Military Honors and burial will take place at 10 am Friday June 4, 2021 at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the Hensley family.
