Ronnie Gordon Witt

Ronald Gordon Witt, 65, of Elkhart, he was known to family and friends as one of the most positive, loving, and supportive individuals one could meet, returned to the arms of his Lord and his wife on Thursday April 6, 2023. Born to Larry and Sharon Witt on August 11, 1957, Ron's passion for his church and his family was unparalleled. It was his faith and his love for his family that made every one of his last days a good day in his book.

Ron worked at Stiles, inc. and Patrick Industries before his retirement. He enjoyed keeping up on current events and the world news. He had a wonderful knack for remembering random facts especially when it came to playing Trivia. He enjoyed going to Notre Dame women’s basketball games with his son-in-law Shane. In his spare time Ron could be caught binge watching everything on Netflix. However, Ron’s favorite time was the time he spent with his family and friends.

Ron is survived by his daughters, Christy (Jamie) Tidd of Elkhart, IN., and Brittney (Shane) Herron of Elkhart, IN and his son-in-law Robert Conrad of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren David Golubski, Brookelyn Tidd, Rylee Herron, Piper Herron who affectionately call him “Papa” and his grand pup, Clover. Ron is also survived by his sisters Debbie (Keith) Higginbottom of Elkhart, IN and Stacey (David) Tom of Michigan. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Larry and Sharon Witt, his wife Debbie Witt and his brother Kevin Witt.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 3-5pm at Encounter Church / Adult Teen Challenge Facility, 1111 West Bristol Street, Elkhart, IN 46514 Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone, Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting Ron’s family.
