Russell Oscar Anderson

Russell Oscar Anderson, age 99, of Elkhart passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Hubbard Hill Estates. He was born on February 6, 1922 to Otto Oscar and Anna E. Anderson in Grand Rapids, MI. He married Pauline I. Reed on March 29, 1942 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Elkhart.

Russell honorably served his country in the United States Army-Air Corp. He worked at Adams & Westlake as a General Manager in production, he retired after 45 years of dedicated service. After retirement he and his wife installed Life lines for people in their homes. They delivered meals on wheels and worked as a red coat at Elkhart General Hospital for over 25 years. He was an active member of the Kane Masonic Lodge #183 F&A.M. and the South Bend Scottish Rite

Russell is survived by his sons, James (Fawn) Anderson of Elkhart, Richard (Debbie) Anderson of Hutto, Texas and daughter-in-law Darcy Anderson-Hunt, grandchildren Chad Anderson, Travis (Audrey) Majtyka, Brooke Anderson, Clint (Adrienne) Anderson and Tara (Fred) Koeppel, 9  great-grandchildren and his brother Carlen (Beverly) Anderson of Lowell, MI. Russell was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Anna Anderson, wife Pauline Anderson, son Timothy Anderson, brothers Edward Anderson, Keith Anderson and sisters Lorene Crook and Agnes Miller.

Visitation for Russell will be from 12-1 pm on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46154 where funeral services will be held at 1pm. Chaplain Tim Henke will officiate.
