Stephanie G. (Smith) Schrock

Stephanie G. Smith Schrock, age 66, of Elkhart passed away at her home on Saturday, June 27, 2020. She was born on October 27, 1953 in Elkhart to Charles and Elizabeth “Betty” Smith. She married Scott Schrock at the log cabin at Notre Dame on August 8, 1980. 

Stephanie graduated from the University of Notre Dame / St. Mary’s College with a biology degree. The career she loved the most was being a wife to her husband, a mother to her children and a Mimi to her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital and a life member of the Disabled American Vets.

Stephanie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Scott L. Schrock; their children, Matthew Fredric Schrock of Elkhart, Rachel Angelique Schrock of Goshen, Charles Christopher (Brittany Noelle) Schrock of Elkhart, Valerie Elizabeth Gabrielle Schrock of Goshen and Adam Quentin (Jessica Lynn Ippolito) Schrock of Elkhart; her grandchildren, Charles Jedadiah Schrock and Theodore Scott Schrock. Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Kevin Smith.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, July 6, 2020 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1405 North Main Street, Elkhart, IN 46514. Where friends may visit with her family one hour before mass at the church. Entombment will follow at Rice Cemetery.
