Steven Mihojevich Obituary

 

Steven Mihojevich, age 89, of Bristol passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Steve was born on September 3, 1931 in Chicago, IL., to Peter and Ruth Mihojevich. He married Pauline Mae Schuller on January 29, 1955 at Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Chicago, IL. She preceded him in death on September 27, 2020.

Steve honorably served his county in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. He studied engineering at the University of Illinois. Steve retired as Director of Engineering from Stripco. He enjoyed working on many do-it-yourself projects, from restoring his home to building things. His greatest love was the love for God, his family and his church. Steve was a member at Osceola Grace Church for 50 years, where he served as an elder and was a church officer for many years in many different sectors of the church. He liked helping with AWANA, teaching Sunday School and was the head cook for the men’s prayer breakfast.

Steve is survived by his children, Eloise (Kevin) Gaugler of Bristol, Timothy (Colleen) Mihojevich of Dayton, OH., Nancy ( James) Walter of Elkhart and Paul (Kathy) Mihojevich of Bristol;  grandchildren, Kimberly (Anthony) Butorovic, Kara (Tom) Drabczyk, Joshua (Michael) Mihojevich, Melissa (Matthew) Olinger, Mariana (Josiah) Brenneman, Annalie (Nic) Orman and Michelle (Andrew) Hilliker; and his great-granddaughters Ella and Viviane Pauline;  his sister, Gloria (Glenn) Miller of San Francisco, CA. Steve was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Pauline and his brother Peter Mihojevich.

Friends may visit with family from 4pm- 6pm on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be held at 10am on Monday, July 19, 2021. Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery in Bristol. Memorial donations may be made in Steven’s memory to Osceola Grace Church, 58343 South Apple Road, Osceola, IN 46561.
